Just a day after winning FIFA’s Best Men’s Player award, Cristiano Ronaldo finds himself at the center of a romantic scandal.
A Night at a Hotel
Natacha Sofia, a 21-year-old Portuguese woman, has caused a stir by claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo cheated on his pregnant girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, with her. According to Natacha, the incident took place when Ronaldo returned to Portugal to join the national team for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in Europe.

In an interview with TV Guide magazine, Natacha revealed that, like many young fans, she sent a message to Ronaldo’s Instagram account, not expecting a response from the Real Madrid superstar. To her surprise, Ronaldo replied one day, and the two began chatting about casual topics. Soon after, Ronaldo proposed meeting up. Despite several failed attempts due to his busy schedule, they eventually arranged to meet at a hotel in Lisbon.
Natacha described their encounter as passionate. “He surprised me; I didn’t think he was gay, as some rumors suggested,” the 21-year-old recalled. The next morning, Ronaldo left, leaving her 300 euros for a taxi.
However, their communication ended abruptly. Natacha, a participant in Portugal’s reality show Love on Top, said Ronaldo blocked her on all his social media accounts, and they never spoke again. “We never talked after that; I felt abandoned,” she shared.

A Tabloid Conspiracy?
With Georgina Rodriguez pregnant at the time, the news of Ronaldo’s alleged infidelity is far from pleasant for his family. However, there’s speculation that this story could be a fabrication by Portuguese tabloids to attract attention. When asked to provide evidence of her one-night encounter with Ronaldo, Natacha declined to comment.

Spanish media have previously published controversial stories about Ronaldo’s personal life, such as claims that his mother, Dolores Aveiro, disapproved of Georgina’s social connections, disagreements over naming their unborn daughter, or allegations about Georgina’s complicated past and estrangement from her parents.
Ronaldo’s strained relationship with the Portuguese media dates back to when he successfully sued Vidas magazine for publishing false information about the mother of his son. Tensions peaked when Ronaldo threw a reporter’s microphone into a lake before Portugal’s EURO 2016 match against Hungary. The reporter was from CMTV, a channel that had previously reported Ronaldo flirting with 16-year-old model Meredith Mickelson and propositioning Argentine weather presenter Maria Sol Perez.

Perhaps accustomed to such fabricated stories, Ronaldo has chosen to remain silent this time. On his social media, he shared a joyful photo with Georgina alongside his newly awarded The Best trophy. His primary focus appears to be preparing for the birth of his daughter, expected in November, as Georgina nears her due date.
