Emilia Clarke was born in 1986 in London, England in a family with a theater sound engineer father and a businessman mother. The talent for acting revealed in Emilia very early, after she watched the musical Show Boat  at the age of three. While growing up, she attended the Drama Center London.

 

Despite her passion from a young age, Emilia Clarke started her career quite late compared to many of her peers.  In 2009, at the age of 23, she had her first role, in the British television series Doctors . However, just two years later, the name Emilia Clarke began to reach out from the foggy country to travel the world when the first episode of Game of Thrones  aired.

But Emilia Clarke was not the winner for the role. Initially, the role of Mother Dragon was assigned to the actress also from England – Tamzin Merchant. For some reason, Tamzin was replaced and Emilia Clarke was given the opportunity that thousands of actresses wished for.

Only with her role as the Mother of Dragons in Game of Thrones , Emilia Clarke became a name that millions of people are interested in and sought after. In 2014, she ranked first in the list of 100 most desirable women by men, according to the poll of AskMen magazine readers.

A year later, Esquire selected Emilia Clarke as ” World’s Sexiest Contemporary Woman” . By 2019, the 33-year-old British actress continued to be included in Time magazine’s list of “100 most influential people in the world”.

Knowing how to take advantage and opportunities, Emilia Clarke also works hard in charity, using images to call on the public to support social activities. Especially after two brain surgeries, Emilia also formed a separate fund called SameYou to support young people who are also unfortunate with the same disease as her. The beauty is also regularly present in events calling for women’s rights in modern society.

New generation Rom-Com Queen

The role of Kate in the movie Last Christmas  is said to have many similarities with Emilia Clarke in real life. She had the opportunity to show her singing ability, especially classic Christmas songs. Not only has the talent for acting, Emilia Clarke also has a musical talent when singing from Ballad, Blue Jazz as well as playing the Piano, Guitar, and flute.

Challenging love

Possessing beauty, talent and grace, but Emilia Clarke seems to have not found luck in love. She had a two-year love affair with director and actor Seth MacFarlane, but it didn’t work out. After co-starring in Terminator Genysis , she dated her co-star Jai Courtney but only briefly “separated”.

Emilia Clarke was also rumored to be dating Jared Leto, James Franco or Cory Michael Smith, but none of them lasted long. When playing Game of Thrones , she was enthusiastically “shipped” by millions of fans with actor Kit Harrington (as Jon Snow) but he got married and she was still alone. 

Earlier this year, after four months of dating, the love story between Emilia Clarke and director Charlie McDowell also ended. Up to now, at the age of 33, the beautiful “Mother Dragon” is still single and hard at work making her mark on both the big screen and the small screen.
