Watch Dua Lipa Do An Intense Headstand With A Booty And Core Of Steel On IG
Dua Lipa is dedicating the first month of 2023 to her health and wellness.
The singer, 27, posted a video showing off an impressive yoga headstand that highlighted her ultra-strong abs, butt, and legs in a workout bra and leggings.
This kind of headstand can be tricky to master, and takes a lot of core strength.
In case you missed it, Dua Lipa has her own podcast and newsletter now called Dua Lipa: At Your Service, and it’s been keeping her pretty busy. For one, Dua’s dedicating January to her health and wellness routines, and she’s kicking things off with some seriously impressive yoga moves.
The 27-year-old “Levitating” singer casually dropped a video on Instagram of herself doing a yoga headstand like it’s no big deal. In the video, Dua can be seen from behind in black leggings and a matching strappy bra as she slowly pulls her legs up into a perfect headstand. Dua’s back, shoulders, and booty are super strong as she shows off her impressive core strength hanging in that headstand. She then slowly lowers herself back down to the floor.
The caption makes no mention of her athletic feat—it just talks about the newsletter—but dang, that was impressive.
People cheered her on in the comments. “You’re levitating 😎,” one joked. “After 18 months of yoga, I’m still nowhere near that 😂 props🙌,” another said.
Headstands like this can take a long time to perfect, and require a ton of core strength. It can be tricky to know where to start, but luckily, WH has a little guide for you.
This is hardly the first time Dua has given fans a sneak peek at her yoga prowess. She shared video in her IG Stories earlier this year of herself doing a crow’s pose into headstand, and whipped out this yoga tripod headstand last March that’s seriously impressive:
But Dua doesn’t ~just~ do yoga. She told Viva in 2018 that she likes to “work out as much as I can,” and Dua told Refinery29 that she prefers to break a sweat first thing. “Getting physical really starts my day off right,” she said, noting that can include yoga, Pilates, strength training, and HIIT workouts.
Dua’s trainer Sora Connor, who has worked with the singer for years, told Women’s Health that the two “always work the entire body,” although they like to mix things up.
“Sometimes it’s more core-focused, other times its glutes,” Connor said. “The main objective is to work the muscles so that they become strong and toned but the focus is on creating a long, lean line.”
I mean, mission accomplished.
