Hugh Jackman has been busy entertaining the world with theatrics on his Greatest Showman tour, so it’s only fair that the actor took a well-deserved break with a relaxing day at Bondi Beach.
Making use of the downtime from his jam-packed touring schedule, Hugh headed to Bondi Beach on Thursday to take a splash in the sea despite the freezing cold temperatures down under this time of year.
Don’t be fooled by that glorious sunshine.
The 50-year-old actor quite literally took the chilly climes in his stride and was seen gliding out of the water reminiscent of the famous Baywatch scenes.
While it appeared to be a solo trip to the beach for Hugh, he was seen talking to male pal after enjoying his swim.
The Wolverine actor is believed to be staying in his native Australia with his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, and their children Oscar, 19, and Ava, 14, while he completes the Australian leg of his The Man. The Music. The Show tour, which visited Europe earlier this year.
The shows see Hugh performing a selection of songs from The Greatest Showman, Les Miserables, The Boy From Oz and other classics from Broadway and film.

Hugh’s tour comes off the back of the success of his latest movie The Greatest Showman, in which he played circus showman PT Barnum, but it seems he had the idea for an arena tour eight years ago.
In an interview with Playbill in April, Hugh explained: ‘It started in 2011. We did arenas in Australia—that’s when I first really understood, “This can feel like a theatre, this can still feel intimate”.’
He continued: ‘But it works for me to bounce around [action, drama, musicals, touring]. That’s when I feel the happiest. Like basketballers.
‘Some might say if I’m going to do free throws just let me do free throws. I’d prefer to go freethrow to a three-point to a dunk.
