What superstar Hugh Jackman wanted to be a casual beach outing became a serious rescue mission for him. The video that is going viral shows the actor with another swimmer, rescuing his 15-year-old son Oscar and some other swimmers from dangerous waves.
A former NRL star and trainer Daniel Conn was chatting to Hugh about training when he saw the actor’s son getting swept out in the sea.
Dan told media: ‘I know Hugh because he often trains down at F45 and we were just chatting about training when the tide just changed. Oscar got caught up with it so I swam out to go and get him and bring him back but he got caught up in it again and he [Hugh] just went into full on Hugh Jackman mode.’
A witness, Lynzey Murphy, told media that surf conditions had changed quickly but Jackman stayed calm. “When we got in the water 20 minutes earlier it was fine. Then the water just came up suddenly. Hugh just pulled them calmly on to the sandbar.
