Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Awarded Two Guinness World Records Following ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Release

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ has already been released internationally, and fans who have seen it are praising the film. Even before its debut, the movie was touted as the MCU’s savior and a project sure to rekindle fan interest in the franchise.

Early projections suggested that ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ would be Disney’s most profitable R-rated film of the year, and ticket presales have further supported these predictions.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is poised to break more than just box-office records. Before its release, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds were awarded two Guinness World Records. One of the awards recognized them for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ having the most-viewed movie trailer in the first 24 hours.

The trailer, which premiered during Super Bowl LVIII, amassed 365 million global views across all platforms between February 11 and 12. Reynolds responded to the impressive view count with his signature enthusiasm:

What? One million for every day of the year, that’s so awesome!

The second award was given to Reynolds as The Racecourse Ground in Wrexham, Wales, was honored as the oldest international football ground, having been in use for 147 years and 31 days as of April 5.
