When Dua Lipa tries out a buzzy young designer, she isn’t afraid to fully commit to a look. In recent months, she’s worn a full Vaquera ensemble (vest, pants, and yes, necktie included) and posed in a patchwork denim dress from Nathalie Ballout’s Fall 2018 collection, even making sure to give the emerging designer a shout-out on Instagram.
Next on Lipa’s list of young talent to put to the test? French designer Marine Serre. Serre won the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers last year, and if that’s not enough recognition, Serre has earned the young pop star’s seal of approval, too.
Lipa posted what she described as her “most extra mirror pic” yet on Instagram, showing off a head-to-toe Serre ensemble comprised of ultrahigh flesh-tone boots with the brand’s signature half-moon motif and a silky, colorful dress that almost looks like it could be made from oversize scarves wrapped around each other.
Serre is about to show her fourth collection at Paris Fashion Week, and if you’re starting to feel impatient, then just look to Lipa’s outfit for a taste of what’s to come.
