Dua Lipa is a bit of a fashion chameleon. She’s as likely to don a forward-thinking Marine Serre outfit to a performance in Taipei, Taiwan (not exactly traditional stage attire for most pop stars) as she is to wear a classically glamorous gown—think, feathered and semi-sheer—in Paris that could have been plucked straight from Cher’s closet. If there’s one unifying element to her dynamic sense of style though, it’s a certain knack for youthful experimentalism—she just turned 23 years old a few months ago.
Over the weekend, Lipa sang at an intimate show at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles that also featured a panel discussion. Lipa managed to find an outfit that was fit for both a serious debate and an onstage performance. She donned a white Chanel set with a body chain at her waist and a Chanel choker. On anyone else, a Chanel suit of this sort could have veered into stuffy country-club territory, but Lipa gave it a fresh twist. It just goes to show that even when she’s wearing the most polished fashion uniform, she brings a youthful sense of enthusiasm to it all.
