Dua Lipa has served many killer fashion moments on her world tour, both on and off the stage. Custom catsuits from Mugler and Balenciaga, plus a John Galliano-era Dior look – sourced by London-based vintage specialist Christelle McCracken of My Runway Archive – have been her core performance looks. But for a recent Spotify concert held in Cannes, Dua swapped her slinky all-in-ones for a bespoke look by Coperni.
Dua danced to her smash-hit track “Cool” in a neon-green creation by Coperni, paired with sneakers from her collaboration with Puma. The Y2K-esque dress featured an ultra-high hemline, a swishy piece of fabric on one side and a built-in bodysuit that ensured maximum mobility for the pop star.
The halter neckline was adorned with scrunched fabric roses that were also seen on a dress (look 32) from Coperni’s autumn/winter 2022 collection. Creative directors Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer posted clips of the singer’s Spotify show on Instagram, and thanked Dua’s stylist Lorenzo Posocco for the opportunity to dress the star.
Countless celebrities have fallen for Coperni’s retro appeal. Hailey wore a sheer floral Coperni dress a few days ago, and Emily Ratajkowski wore two dresses from the brand last month. As for Rihanna? She sported silvery separates when pregnant at her Fenty launch in March. Look no further than Coperni for your next nostalgic purchase.
