Hugh Jackman took to social media to update Deadpool 3’s title after the Super Bowl teased a first glimpse of Deadpool & Wolverine.
Hugh Jackman didn’t pull any punches in poking fun at Deadpool & Wolverine after the film’s first teaser debuted at the Super Bowl.
Deadpool 3‘s first official teaser was finally released after much anticipation, and so far the reception has been overwhelmingly positive among Marvel fans. The trailer dished a heaping dose of reveals, most notable was Deadpool’s induction into the larger MCU by the Time Variance Authority from Loki. While this fueled speculation surrounding the horde of cameos the film had, many fans also expected Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to make his official appearance wearing a Marvel Comics-accurate yellow spandex with blue shoulder pads. The teaser also confirmed the film’s official title: Deadpool & Wolverine, something Jackman wasted no time to “fix” on X (formerly Twitter).
“Fixed it,” Jackman captioned an updated photo of the film’s title card that read “Wolverine & A**hole,” which poked fun at Deadpool and probably Ryan Reynolds as well. Both actors have been taking jabs at each other since they announced last year the film was happening, but Reynolds has been more vocal about the collaboration. Jackman, who previously said Logan would see his last reprisal as Wolverine, recently revealed he was up for another go by teasing his physical preparation for the role in Deadpool 3. He also hinted he would duke it out with Reynolds in that film, which was later confirmed by the leaked BTS photos.
