Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed Man City continue to add a quality rookie this summer.
Specifically, Romano confirmed: “More on Jeremy Doku and Man City. The fee will be close to €60m package but it will include very favourable payment terms for City.
“Installments will make the deal feasible.
“Negotiation started on August 1 as City decided to go for Doku after tracking him for long time.
“Manchester City now add Jeremy Doku to the list to replace Riyad Mahrez as new winger”
Doku is one of the brightest young talents of Belgium. After leaving Anderlecht, he moved to Rennes in October 2020. For the past 3 seasons, Doku has played very well.
Doku’s biggest strength is his dribbling skills. Not very tall (1m73, 66kg), with a low center of gravity, the player born in 2002 is easy to make turns and maneuvers skillfully in tight spaces.
.
With several attacking stars leaving this summer, City needed to look for alternatives and Doku was picked. Last season, Doku played all 35 matches in all competitions with Rennes. He scored 7 goals and had 4 assists.
On average, every 90 minutes, Doku makes 1.47 shots and has 6.59 successful dribbles.
