The pair, who tied the knot in 1996, were recently spotted enjoying a sunny day at the iconic amusement park. The actor, 50, wore dark-colored slacks and a black tee, matched with a cap and shades, while his love went the all black route. Both were all smiles as they spent time with their only daughter, 14. The couple also share a son, Oscar, 19. After more than 20 years since tying the knot, the couple is still all about each other. “Life actually happens in between that. Life happens when the camera is not going,” the X-Men star said in a speech at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. “You [Deborra-lee] believed in me when I couldn’t. You’ve loved me with a passion and a depth that I didn’t even know existed — and I don’t think I felt that I deserved. You have pushed and encouraged me when I was scared to venture out. You have smiled me into smiling. You have sung me into singing. You have loved me into loving and like everything I do in my life, I share this with you. I love you.” Cute! The Australian actor and his wife are quite open about their relationship and their family — they are even honest when it comes to some of Hugh’s work. “It’s not my world. I’m not a recording artist, I’ve done a few cast albums, so my kids and even my wife are getting so sick of it,” the Golden Globes winner joked to NME about the popular The Greatest Showman soundtrack. “They’re like, ‘It’s the 20th week at No. 1!’ I’m still excited about it.” Hugh and his love recently celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary, as the A-lister shared a photo of the pair smiling with chocolate cake in their teeth. “I think she probably first fell in love with me when I sang ‘You and I’ from the musical Chess,” Hugh once exclusively told Closer Weekly. “Deb will still ask me to sing it for her at home, although she’s usually a bit tipsy.” 3 of 6 The happy pair first bonded while starring together on the 1995 Australian TV miniseries Correlli. “There was something that clicked between us right away,” Hugh told Closer. “It was the feeling you get when you sense this connection that tells you this is the kind of woman you want in your life.” However, Hugh did once reveal that his wife tried to dump him when they first started seeing each other. “I knew very early, I knew before Deb knew. Even when she tried to break up with me, I knew,” he explained during an interview on the podcast Aussies in Hollywood with Jenny Cooney. “She kind of [broke up with me], a little bit. Early on, three weeks in. I managed to talk her out of it, thank God. I’m a very indecisive person, Deb really knows this about me. I can count on my hand the amount of times in my life anything has felt that clear to me, and when it happens it’s such a relief for me. I just knew 100 percent, I even knew when she was trying to work out reasons to break up with me.” 5 of 6 We’re glad the duo didn’t part ways, because this is one incredible family!
