Andrew Garfield is especially sought after for a movie reprisal, as he is the only Spider-Man actor who never got to complete his trilogy after The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Some are already imagining what The Amazing Spider-Man 3 could have been, with Screen Culture having recently released a fan trailer for Garfield’s iteration of the web-slinger.

This take on The Amazing Spider-Man 3 sees Garfield and Stone getting to reunite, but with a big twist. Instead of his Gwen, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 fan trailer has Stone playing Spider-Woman, one of her variants, while Garfield also comes into contact with Tom Hardy’s Venom, marking another crossover that some Marvel fans have been wanting to see happen.

Will The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Actually Ever Happen?

Before Spider-Man: No Way Home happened, the chances of The Amazing Spider-Man 3 ever happening were slim to none. But given the massive success behind the 2021 film, the possibility of Garfield getting his own Spider-Man 3 film certainly exists more than ever. However, this would be up to Sony Pictures completely as opposed to them having to collaborate with Marvel Studios, since The Amazing Spider-Man franchise was fully produced by Sony.

Given recent rumors about Maguire’s Spider-Man 4 supposedly being an actual possibility, it wouldn’t come as a shock if Sony Pictures were also looking at doing something again with Garfield. Sony Pictures are clearly aware of the renewed interest in Maguire and Garfield’s Spider-Men, especially as the latter has had his career blow up over the last few years from Tick, Tick… Boom! and Under the Banner of Heaven. Whether it would be The Amazing Spider-Man 3 or a different Marvel-related project, it definitely doesn’t feel like the world has seen the last of Garfield’s Peter.
