Pop sensation Britney Spears has sold her Calabasas, California, mansion for just over $10M, which is approximately $2M less than what she paid for it just nine months ago. Spears, who purchased the property for $11.8M shortly after her June wedding to Sam Asghari, listed it for sale at $12M in January. The sale was handled by Bryce Pennel of Compass.
At the time of her purchase, Spears expressed her delight with the property. She and Sam Asghari selected the house together, symbolizing a fresh start for the couple. It was essential for Spears to have a home that she could call her own without requiring approval from her father, Jamie Spears.
The mansion, situated on a 1.6-acre lot, is a one-story contemporary Mediterranean-style home. It boasts dramatic double entry doors that lead into a grand foyer with 33-foot ceilings. The backyard offers stunning mountain views, featuring a mosaic-tiled pool with a waterfall and a jacuzzi. There’s also a covered, heated patio with an outdoor kitchen and a one-bedroom guest house.
Inside, the chef’s kitchen includes a wraparound breakfast bar, a center island with hand-carved details, multiple food prep areas, and an oversized walk-in pantry. The house also features a private surround-sound home screening room with theater-style seating and a dramatic gilded tray ceiling.
The primary suite is a luxurious retreat with a fireplace, sitting area, dual walk-in closets with wood cabinetry, and a shower with two entrances. Other highlights of the property include a home office, gift-wrapping room, wine cellar, and maid’s quarters, along with various formal and informal living areas.
While Spears and Asghari embark on their next adventures, the Calabasas mansion will undoubtedly become a new treasure for its lucky new owner, who acquired it at a relative bargain compared to the star’s initial purchase price.
