Following a unanimous vote at his old European team Sporting Lisbon, Cristiano Ronaldo was recently given the highest official honor.
Cristiano Ronaldo is having a comparatively easy 2023–24 season at Al Nassr. CR7 kept on his impressive play after helping the squad win the Arab Club Champions Cup. He scored 10 goals and provided five assists to help the home team win the Saudi Pro League championship after the team had lost its first two games of the season.
Ronaldo, who is always performing well in Arabia, just got some positive news from Europe. Particularly, Sporting Lisbon, the team where CR7 began his career, made the decision to pay tribute to him in an exceptionally unique manner.
As previously announced, the 38-year-old superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will be honored with a gate number 7 at José Alvalade’s home stadium named in his honor. At the club’s general meeting last week, 70.93% of members voted in favor of implementing the idea.
Subsequently, as scheduled, Ronaldo’s face and the symbolic seven emerged at the appropriate gate at José Alvalade Stadium. The renowned Manuel Fernandes, who made 441 appearances for Sporting Lisbon, formerly held this role.
