From comic books to movies, Wolverine is one of the most popular superhero characters that has become an instant fan favorite. The character made its comic book in 1974, in Incredible Hulk #180. However, Logan’s popularity skyrocketed when Hugh Jackman decided to portray the mutant for the majority of his career to the point that he would become synonymous with the role.

Fans were thrilled to learn that Jackman was returning to reprise his iconic role in Deadpool 3. Everyone is looking forward to the film because it features potential numerous variants of Weapon X. However, the MCU is going to face serious competition with a fanmade project that has received a thumbs up from the X-Men fans as they want the character to be a part of the MCU.
Fan Made Wolverine Film Receives a Thumbs Up From Hugh Jackman’s Fans
There’s no denying that Hugh Jackman introduced the concept of adult-oriented superheroes by featuring a mature character who showcases the burden of over 100 years of pain, trauma, and loss. These complex themes have added to the character’s popularity, which has grown over time.
To add to Wolverine’s popularity, a fan has come up with a movie that takes place in the Viking period. Recently, Godefroy Ryckewaert, a YouTuber, and a director came up with his vision of Weapon X titled LOGAN THE WOLF on his official YouTube channel, where the story takes place in Scandinavia.
The fan-made film went viral among the viewers as it features a gripping plot with great performances from its cast and CGI that is better than most Marvel films. If that was not enough, then the film has brought together Vikings and Wolverine, creating a perfect story that dates back to the time of the Varangian period, and teased a sequel of the film.
Wolverine’s Return Was a Concern to Kevin Feige
The news of Hugh Jackman returning as Weapon X was huge to the fans, but it made numerous people concerned about how the character would be brought back to life after his demise in Logan. During an exclusive interview with Empire, Kevin Feige expressed his concern and even asked Jackman not to return to portray the character.
He said,
I said, ‘Let me give you a piece of advice, Hugh: ‘Don’t come back. You had the greatest ending in history with Logan’ That’s not something we should undo.
However, the Real Steel actor was not ready to hang up his claws as he wanted to return to portray the role one more time.
In the same interview with Empire, Jackman said,
And that question came into my head: ‘What do I want to do?’ And as soon as I asked the question, I wanted to do Deadpool & Wolverine. I just knew it. I drove for another hour. Couldn’t stop thinking about it. And I got out of the car, called Ryan, and said, ‘Ryan, if you’ll have me, I’m in.’
Certainly, fans would be in for a treat as they would get to see the actor in his iconic role after 7 long years, but that’s not all because he would also feature the comic-book-accurate costume that has made the X-Men fans jump with excitement.
