Dua Lipa kicked off November with an impressive comeback in the form of her new single “Don’t Start Now,” and has continued the month with a show-stopping debut performance of the long-awaited new track at the 2019 MTV EMAs in Seville, Spain, on Sunday (Nov. 3).
Flanked by an army of backup dancers, Lipa was especially commanding while opening the performance at the top of a staircase, then descending while exhibiting lock-step choreography. Lipa was all smiles through the post-breakup track, concluding with some finger snaps, catwalk strutting and the greeting of rapturous applause from the crowd.
“Don’t Start Now” is the first single from Lipa’s forthcoming second album, which follows her self-titled debut. The pop singer has won two EMAs over the course of her career, including best new act two years ago.
