Emilia Clarke has captivated the audience by giving show-stopping performances since she ventured into Hollywood. The actress has played a wide range of on-screen characters. However, the one that remained popular amongst her fans is her role as Daenerys Targaryen she gracefully depicted in the HBO fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones. 

She played one of the most prominent characters in the beloved show that has gone on to receive immense love from the audience. Clarke once revealed that her role as Queen of Dragons was physically challenging and that she requested the creators of the show if she could change her straight-back posture, but they subtly declined her by saying, “No.”

In an interview, the Last Christmas movie star shared her experience working in the show and what she learned from Game of Thrones. The British star shared a hilarious anecdote, as she claimed that her straight back posture across its eighth season was not her choice, but she tried convincing the showrunner David Benioff and Dan Weiss if she could change her pose.

“People often spoke about Khaleesi’s very straight back being very good posture. I was a terrified 22-year-old. My mama told me to sit up straight, so I did. And then you’re stuck with it. I didn’t know I was going to go on for 10 years,” Emilia Clarke explained.

Game of Thrones is perhaps one of the biggest and most successful shows, with a massive fanbase and a phenomenal star cast that includes: Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, among other excellent stars.

“I won’t be in it. I don’t think so. Kit, I love you. I’ma watch that one because of you or I’m gonna tell you that I did, but I won’t be in it. No, I don’t think so. He hasn’t called,” the actress shared.
